I've done a mod or two
It would likely work as long as the shanked section is short enough. I buy tons of ARP fasteners when building engines though and I don't think I've ever seen anything from them in zinc dichromate coating. Looks like an okay option as long as you don't have hub caps.

I'm betting they will work as well. I've purchased and used LC manual hub studs on my 1st gen. They're all 8mm OTOH.

Edit: the third member studs are also 8mm studs. the only difference between the hub and third studs are length. I have mix-matched for trail repairs

edit edit: I've heard the TrailGear hub studs are made backwards and mistakenly have the hex head on the wrong side of the stud FWIW

Thanks for the tip. The hex heads do look backward. That kind of loses that benefit.

No hub caps. Though @Wulf pointed out the hex head is on backwards. I guess I can't use them.

*receives bonus on incentive card from 3rd party*

I literally didn't expect any payment as I quit before finishing last month, and terminated my employment before payout date.

Was about to shred/cut my card when I decided to look it up and saw a deposit :angrygirl:

    A tale of woe :(

Building a new machine for a salesman expo that we've only had a few go out as prototypes and not technically in our sales catalog yet. Gotta do all the special brackets by hand with the caveman tools we've got... starts out simple enough..

Cut flat bar and drill appropriate holes

    20210916_101137.jpg

Use my flat disk grinder skills and cut notch plus do radius on required corners

    20210916_105014.jpg

Use our Jimmyrigged press bender adapter to bend the bracket to 90 degrees... oh no!! Material is cold rolled so it snaps at the end of the bend20210916_105515.jpg

No biggie, just grind in a relief cut
    20210916_105718.jpg

    And weld it back up

    20210916_110601.jpg

Now grind to taste lol.. a little undercut with the weld but the bend goes against the pump bellhousing so no one will notice

    20210916_112917.jpg

Realize at the end, after all that work that your dumbass bent the flipping bracket the wrong way :annoyed: (compare to drawing underneath it)

Now eat lunch as you sob quietly to yourself20210916_113443.jpg

It really is because they had no obligation to pay me at all.

Company is Zurich, and it's the service contract holder/provider for the plans we sell
