I’m afraid to list out my projects. Lots of starts, anyway

 

Right, I'm surprised the wife hasn't brought anything up. I've neglected house projects as well. Once I hit 30 years have flown by like months. I'm gonna have to write up a to-do list in my will for my kids.

You’re right about the years like months thing…sheesh. This year has just zipped right by especially.

I’m getting better about just dropping projects that no longer make sense. Hard part is admitting that I’m not actually going to do something

 

That's always the hardest. Every project the longer you keep has sentimental value that keeps growing. When you can picture the finished result in your head you want to hold on just to see it completed.

 

Man that truck sure has seen some shit haha.

Id advise to stay away from that thread and let your instructor do the teaching.

You'd get your asshole reamed out for posting pics of anything that isnt abso-fucking-lutley perfect on welding web. Everybody on there is an "expert" and if its not done there way its wrong.

 

Oh that type; yeah fuck that.

I'd want to post not-so-great beads so I can get criticized on what I can work on, etc.

No use having a forum to learn from if everyone there has nothing to learn since they "know everything"

 

It wont take you long at all to figure out on your own whats good and whats not.

Then again, Ive seen a lot of bad looking stuff pass the bend test and a lot of good stuff bust open like a river.

 

It's the jargon that I hear in the shop that throws me for a loop sometimes like flux-core, electrodes, etc. but I've since looked things up.

It's like reloading; someone getting into it won't know what standard deviations are, case pressure, COAL's and so forth.

So yeah, learning about it all is something I'm really stoked about. I just hope I don't go full ham like I do with everything else I get into.

That’s as far as I go

 

It's about keeping the number as low as possible, as you want your loads to be as close to the next one as well as the one before it.

Get that from measuring velocity as you send off each round.
