I feel as if the male populous deserves more representation. Women are not the only individuals with leaking orifices :fistbump::fistbump:

Dont want to get banned, but I would never rent out a house right now due to reasons not to be discussed on this site.

I will say, I'm really looking forward to welding with oxyfuel.

Supposed to make some sort of dice.

My fitness instructor gym owner Niece had C19 in 2020 and Delta variant in 2021. She volunteered to test the vaccine and had 2 shots months before getting C19. Both cases were mild and she recovered fully in 2 weeks. Her husband refuses to get vaccinated and got Delta with her while vacationing in Florida. He required hospitalization and O2 after release. He has yet to fully recover.

Lucky that you get to make cool stuff and keep it.

All we ever did in welding class was AWS plate tests. 2 pieces of 3/8" plate setup with a 1/8" beveled root between them. 7 passes to weld them out, then test them on the bender. Did what felt like a hundred over the course of the semester.

@Wulf which clutch kit did you install last time you did yours, it was an Excedy kit right?

Trying to decide what to go with in the likely event I have them replace the clutch while the trans is dropped. In case Aisin isn't an option or not available for whatever reason.

Kind of wish I saw this coming so I could order the exact kit I want, suppose I could see if someplace could have it here by Wed morning.

There's also some "impossible" end table we'll make as well as a rocket stove; that'll go with the AUTOCAD we'll be doing later.

I'll try to snap pics as there are two in the shop just sitting there that people left.

Getting to keep the stuff you make is awesome, though I'm sure it pales greatly in comparison to someone that actually knows how to weld.

Oh and this doesn't usually happen but the instructor said he wants to skip stick and get me onto MIG after I get enough cutting + brazing time.

I'm half surprised they don't just teach this stuff virtually at this point lol
Even airforce pilots are 95% virtual

A cummins with a manual is the way to go though.

Those autos were pieces of shit, both gas and diesel variants.

My school wanted guys to go into construction or pipelining. Sounds like yours is setting you up to work in a fab shop. I probably wouldve enjoyed yours more.

without a doubt, ive decided if i go to a new truck ~5 years down the road im going to strive for another standard trans. Just didnt realize 95% of all half ton trucks are autos, bleh.

There won't be any more manual trucks in 5 years I bet. Toyotas going hybrid with their trucks like the new Tundra. They won't keep the manual trans around when that happens with the Tacoma.

That leaves the Jeep Gladiator but who knows if that will still be around in 5 years, plus...it's a modern Jeep

    Yeah, Exedy

Its slipping when i get it hot wheeling but it has endured 50k ish miles of abuse. That includes dailying in Denver/Houston stop and go and wheeling/street driving 35s on 3.91 gears LOL

I have another one of the same to go in when i get around to it.

this really sucks. I was sad even to realize that all of the 1st gen tundras with mt only came with the v6 as well. why cant i have a twin turbs v6 or v8 truck with a standard? They even gave the dumb bronco a 7 speed manual. Ill prolly get shoved back into a cummins when the time comes, we'll see. I just know when kids come for me years down the road my ext cab will not work for them
