Ok need to pick your brains on something.

LBJ replacement came today so I can finally start on the alignment. What I found was maxing out the camber on both sides was not enough to straighten the wheels. I still have positive camber (wear on outside of tires).

    0921212000.jpg
About a cm more to go (pinky at the bottom):
    0921212003.jpg
(yes, this is crude, get over it)

So I started thinking about the geometry of everything and related to 30.5 vs 35" tires and ADS coilovers and came to the conclusion that the coils' preload could have an affect on this. Also note that I am on a slight incline, which would strighten out the LCAs when full weight is applied on a flat surface.

    0921212017.jpg
^ This coilover is set almost to the top of the perch as it is, so I can't pull the LCA flatter to push the bottom of the wheel out more to complete the angle. Surprisingly, the other side (driver) is closer to being straight and the only difference is that it has more preload (about an inch more) to offset the taco lean. Now, the only way this doesn't sound counterintuitive is if you consider that pushing the LCA lower (and therefore extent to wheel closer) is also pulling the UCA spindle closer to the coil/body - and that must mean that the UCA/spindle has greater articulation at this point of the (literal) suspension and therefore extending the preload further would be the fix to this. The downside is this reduces my travel and will make the front taller than I want.

Is my head on straight here or am I way off?

no. im not surprised. LOL combination of the wheel offset and well.. the fact the tires are a inch taller. no duh it rubs with 0 lift (actually it sits a bit lower than the white truck..)

That's my plan for the 99. $300 a tire is rough though. No clue where the spare will go. Can't exactly ratchet strap a brand new Cooper to my flatbed like I've been doing.

theyre newer struts.. but theyre shitty monroe quick struts. likely not actually the right springs for a double cab.. meh. i'll toss the old lift spacers on it if i get some time just to get the front end to not rub when tooling around in the field
