There needs to be an indicator for the buyers cause some are dumb and buy the markups.

This materials shortage stuff is really getting in our way here at work :( we have our triggers investment cast out of stainless and it's usually 4-5wk lead time. Now it's 30wks! My company got caught with it's pants down so we're hand crafting more and more stuff to keep up with production. The fun flip side is I get to practice and refine my fabricator skills lol

Here's what the trigger should look like, all uniform and cast (this is the last one so I can use it as a template)20210923_075140.jpg

Our metal supplier has a water jet so we bought 1/2" stainless sheet and had em cut out components 20210923_075035.jpg 20210923_075054.jpg

    Then I weld it
    20210923_075109.jpg

And grind/wire wheel it to a more comfortable, usable handle20210923_075118.jpg

Fabricating is way more fun than production welding, that's for sure

You can turn your wire speed down if you want to move the gun that slow, or leave it and move faster, looks might save you a min grinding.

Thanks for the tips, I really am just making it up as I go along:laughing: I was going slow to make sure the splatter sound was "cooking bacon" and not all choppy sounding

This is the same mig welder, just swapped out the wire and gas for stainless.

Truth, as long as it would be strong enough, can be a crapshoot on things like a handle

Thanks :) I need to keep my positivity, moving to such a small company in this economic climate, its always worrisome to make sure product gets out the door and we can keep the lights on.

Glad to hear your putting that Kubota through a workout

TIG without filler is a lot easier than with filler if its thick material. But yeah, nothing replaces hours put behind the torch

Probably kinda like the 3RZ handles the taco, its undersized but not hopelessly so with the manual. The 1st gen tundra is barely a fullsize anyway, least capable in its class, basically a taco (structure and drivetrain wise) with a bigger body.

I always kinda wondered what the point was of the T100s of the 90s...same 4 or 6 banger as the pickups or Tacomas but in a slightly bigger truck. I guess just for being able to cram more stuff in a bed?

It is cool to see a clean T100 around every now and then these days despite all that, getting pretty rare around here now
