I don't argue with the guy. That's how it works when I setup cameras at work. Literally nothing works on those drops but the cameras.

Back in my day it was simple, you had no nut November (only actually observed by the same crowd that "observes" lent) and then it was destroy dick December.

Our network is a disaster but even we kill drops, have a strict DHCP policy, and vlan out differing types of traffic (security systems, door entry systems, fire...etc). My home network is a mini replica minus the door systems cause I'm not Tony Stark

I've got two highschools an administrative building, and a kindergarten to keep everything working in. The elementary schools are the real chore and they're someone else's problem haha.

Lol a lot of my issues with teachers are similar... "I wanna use Dropbox, box, sketchy fileshare site, for my curriculum. Please unblock it".... Then I say no and they lose their shit because I won't unlock scary resources to them (people with proven track records of not reading what they're clicking on and downloading sketchy shit). But even I know that some stuff is necessary. Like I unblock real text book companies, real educational resources...etc. You need someone to unblock you, analyze the traffic and then selectively whitelist the resources your tools need to operate properly.

Nah, it might temporarily mess up the white balance but multi sensor cameras adapt fast.

Doesn't work like the movies say it should. They're too thin, like a fuse they just blow before the lines are disabled.

I love having tickets in the auto shop at work. It's rare since the vehicle inspection connection system stuff has a special team in Austin, TX that deals with it. So I can't touch issues on those devices.
