I don't understand why people bust nuts over that motor when the 3rz is just better in every way and still just as reliable if not more

the 1/2gr, 2/3rz, 22r, 5vz, UZ motors... theyre all solid motors hell the GR motors will run on no oil for miles to the point where they shut off, put in in them and theyre usually fine

How hard are they to recap? Seems like it might be easy but tedious.

Stayed up last night so I could catch my new roommate sneaking a dog in the house. A dog not approved under the lease terms.

He’s been waiting until 1-2am to grab it from his truck thinking I haven’t noticed the smell. Or the dog sitting in his truck barking for hours every night.

My landlord might’ve approved this dog if the kid hadn’t been giving the other roommate and I so many issues with rent/utilities.

Pretty simple from the looks of it, they're all large through-hole components. This era of Apple was when they knew how to build computers.

My Apple II+ from 1978 has an entire repair manual full of the schematics and components with it too. It was a much different time.

Yeah the entire electronics industry has shifted away from repairs to just replacing things. On some levels I’m ok with this - replacing bga components is not for the average solderer. But so much broken stuff could be repaired with less than $2 in parts. :(
