the light on the dongle being on 24/7 does worry me tho with being off grid. MIGHT unplug it when i put the deck plate on at the start of trails to prevent overnight leeching, we'll see. The truck never goes more than a few days without driving, only reason im comfortable

Just be careful, lithium batteries don’t like heat much.

Which is why you won't catch me with one of those sketchy chinese jump packs everyone has now. Seen em burn an 80 series and a 100 series LC to the ground just sitting idle under a seat or in a compartment.

I went back in my purchase history and the product listing was deleted which is a good sign

Question for off-roaders that travel in groups. @eon_blue @Speedytech7 @Kwikvette

In a group of seven vehicles that will be driving as a convoy through rough terrain. There will be a chance that one or more vehicles get stuck or hung up on some rocks going uphill. Only one truck in the convoy has a winch. The trails are narrow one vehicle trails. The winch vehicle is likely the most capable with the least risk of getting stuck.

Should the winch vehicle be one in the front, in the middle, or rear?

Right as you posted this a girl from my high school class who became an “influencer” posted a story where she was using one of those to fill her tire up and saying how many times it’s saved her from dead batteries.

How about you fix your battery situation… A ~2017 4Runner shouldn’t be having that many dead battery situations.

Front, anything that hasn't encountered the obstacle can pull from behind but only the winch can pull from the front if its on the most capable

That's what I'm thinking also. The winch vehicle can turn around and drive toward the stuck vehicle to pull it out after others in the convoy have cleared the obstacle.
