Comcast is who I’ve got. They’ve been WAY better than at&t. My only two options out here

Yeah att is my other option, haven’t tried it, but it’s probably worse.

    I paid nearly double what I have now… 1500mb/s.

For 25mb/s mind you this was 2 years ago. They still only offer that as the max speed here. 2 blocks down? Gigabit

I think down I get like 100 mbit. I can upgrade that, but it doesn’t help uploads until I get to like business class internet which is way more than I wanna spend.

Annnnd my work computer just blue screened. Awesome

I always wanted one with the 4.0 and 6 speed.

If you think about it, they were pretty much the last SUV made for offroading that wasnt a jeep. Until the new bronco.

I can't even explain how jealous I am of you guys with good internet, I'm over here on 5mpbs down 1mbps up on a good day. If my roommate is watching Netflix it basically makes it unusable. Gotta love the boonies life!

That's one thing I hated for the years I lived at my old house until the last year there.

They set up towers running on solar and back up batteries, and basically ran like a cell tower to a small dish on your house.

No latency issues, fast speeds, and unlimited internet. The problem? It was privately owned so Ken the owner was handling a lot on his own for awhile.

I do fine with 50mbps lol. When I had 3 roommates 150mbps was plenty so gigabit...idk the point unless you download a new Steam game every day

I want upload speed. mofos want me to upgrade to business for double the cost for just 10 to 50mbps. And I only get Cox out here, no option.

So an update with my GBA -

Loving the feel of the exterior shell. It's a 'Prestige' shell made by Retrosix. They offer a non-Prestige variant that's a few dollars cheaper with the only difference being that it's a hard plastic shell versus a soft-touch matte looking shell.

The shell comes with its own respective screws so you just transfer your guts and screen over. Big complaint here, the screws strip easily and the holes aren't tapped only drilled so proceed with caution screwing things down. Also display lens not included, so I got a glass one over the traditional plastic screen -

    20211022_131320.jpg

Nice to see they kept all the same labeling as the original did -

    20211022_131402.jpg

With a new shell, I also opted to go with 'White' buttons over the traditional Grey found in black consoles. I like a nice contrast.

There is one thing to note; I feel a slight need to press the Down direction on the D pad slightly more than I would need to on a regular console. I don't know if this has to do with the use of the original membrane maybe being worn? Retrosix does offer a replacement membrane set but I don't think that'd fix it. It may do more with the tension of the motherboard on the back panel (or lack thereof) due to one of the screws inside stripping. It's barely noticeable though.

My only real complaint is this minor detail here, but I'm sure it's due to trademark reasons. Hard to see but I tried getting both into focus; original says Nintendo whereas the replacement says For Nintendo -

    20211022_132958.jpg

Onto the screen; this is the biggest upgrade yet with a screen slightly larger than offered by Nintendo itself, and better backlighting than even the Advance SP AGS101 model -

    20211022_131240.jpg

    20211022_131335.jpg

The IPS LCD screen is by 'Topoly' as there are some less, favorable screens made by other companies. Anyway, this is their version 2 which fixes ghosting and screen tearing found on the first version. Hell, it's a 100 times better than the original non-backlit display in that the screen runs smoothly even on racing games.

I'd say I'm *almost* done but with the availability of a wireless charging battery, I may opt to do one more mod before I call it done. No more batteries -

    20211022_134302.jpg

Now I can't wait for a replacement shell for my Gameboy Color.

I have all Grey or Black consoles; really want to do away with the "Lime" variant but also don't want to pay $300 for a rare, limited release Black Gameboy Color.
