All this talk about Tyler's valves and that Timmy video last week has me anxious. I didn't check clearance last time I had the covers off. I've never checked the clearances. Or compression.

I think I've got my weekend project lined up!

3.4 is less prone to it. my 3.4 at 280k had 2 valve that were just barely too tight.

Well, I'm going to do a compression test and then based on those results decide what to do next. I have had some rare intermittent misfires under acceleration, and getting a weird ticking noise I can only hear at idle. Gotta do it for the peace of mind. I'm at 380k+ now on the heads... motor replacement only covered the short block (in 2004).

@JKO1998 if you're willing to pay more for American-made hunting gear I can recommend Filson out of Seattle. High quality stuff that lasts.

I'd have at least painted the heads and the water pump. Shits gunna rust like crazy up there. Maybe you forgot you don't live in AZ any longer.

Can't see the heads behind the accessory brackets anyway or I might have. Water pump is whatever, its iron won't rust through. Believe me I'm aware I'm not in AZ, I'm not miserable anymore.

I'm not looking forward to my Seattle trip next week. How bad is the mask situation up there right now?

If you're indoors, put a mask on. :)

Well, I'm prepared to get yelled at for non-compliance. LOL. I hear they're not letting people in restaurants without a shot in King County. What a mess.

I went to CVS last night at 10:30 PM when the place was empty and got my Moderna booster. It didn't hurt a bit. No side effects today.

    4 run, 2 don't
So far, mask wearing is only required in Santa Clara County as of last week, vaccinated or not.

Fresno County not required (if vaccinated) and same in Monterey County.

I'm sure it's strict in the larger areas like LA County? @eon_blue confirm?

LA city is strict, need to show vaccine proof for indoor dining and other things. LA county in general not so much, depends on the city mostly

For example where I work in Pasadena, Pasadena has it's own health department so they get to make their own rules outside of the county's unless the state decides otherwise.
