I know you can remove the back plate, but from the pic above I don't think they're compatible. Either way you'd need a taco backplate anyway........ or some glue lol

 

I'm not sure he'll like the smell

Ya and the 4runner one is center-mounted on top of the head unit bezel so makes sense it would be a little more squished
