Are 3rd gen 4runner axles compatible with the 1st gen tacos? I’m asking because OEM ones are still available for 3rd gen runners but not tacos…

Brought my Mosin sniper to the range today. Hadnt shot it in probably 5 years. With a good spotter, I was nailing the 500 yard targets within a couple rounds.

Why the europeans ever thought this was a good reticle is beyond me.
    IMG_20211030_130434918_HDR.jpg

Its an ok shooter as far as Mosins go. Once the barrel heats up it basically becomes a shotgun accuracy wise. Its also really uncomfortable to shoot with the scope having longer eye relief and being so high off the top of the receiver. Hence why I only take it out every now and then.

I know they discontinued the OEM reman CVs for our trucks but that would be fucked if they discontinued new ones altogether

    Interesting.

I remember @Speedytech7 and someone else mentioning the OEM 4R cv axles were better.

The 4runner cvs have a smaller CV shaft, it tapers from the ends to the middle. Taco shafts are the same thickness across

It's less Tacoma and more mod
No the Tundra and Sequoia ones are, OEM 4R are the same as OEM Taco ones but the shaft has a taper in the center for some reason, still plenty strong

I dunno if the shaft thickness really matters much, don't hear of that breaking like you do the inside components of the housings. I could be wrong though

As for the articulation debate, whenever I finally swap my parts store axle out for the 4runner one I've got, I'll see how that side compares to my OEM Taco one on the other side
