I've only been there once and need to go back. Hopefully it doesn't all burn down.

Wife and I got married at Big Basin redwood forest further north/near the coast, most of it got scorched last year. Damn shame to think of all those huge trees getting burned. Although redwoods/sequoias are supposed to be pretty resistant, but I imagine once they do start burning that's one hell of a fire.

The ground is littered with huge bark logs that have fallen off. It'll be a hard fight to keep it from burning up.

Local off-road shop recommended the best alignment place in town... I've spent $400 over the last few months trying to get my 99 aligned. This place did it first try no questions asked.

Still a ton of play in the wheel with brand new tie rods, rack, and poly bushings. Looks like the steering column is going to need some tack welds.

Spoke too soon. Jumped on the highway and instantly knew I was driving on the edge of my tires. This truck is running the upper and lower control arms my 04 came with, new tie rods, and an OEM reman steering rack. Not 100% sure what’s going on but I guess I’ll take the 1” spacer on the front off.

Ok LCA bushings can suck a fat one.

I need a shop press but local HFs have been out for over two months.

Recently bought these, will be trying out soon as my bushings are done:

Couple with this and you have a $400 alignment tool for under $100...in theory:

I’m starting to think it’s the truck. No way did 4 alignment places get it this wrong… a bent frame wouldn’t even cause this. So I’m stumped.

I wasted a Saturday and $89 not too long ago trying to get my 4runner and taco aligned the same day. Long story short, LCA bushings and/or steering rack shot meant alignment not possible. Yours good?
Noticed my brand new tires on the runner are already wearing badly on the outsides, prompting me to take care of this now.

Lower control arms bushings have under 10K miles. Uppers have 110K miles on the arm/bushing and are off my 04. I’ve seen trucks with 250K+ align perfectly with the stock upper arm bushings. So I’m doubtful that has anything to do with it. Especially since the bushings aren’t collapsed or showing extreme wear.

Bottle jack method won't work? Haven't tried it myself but seems to work for a lot of guys on here from what I've read.

It did to get them out, not to get them back in.
I actually re-invented that wheel before I even joined this forum haha

But holy shit started at 4:30, just finished getting the first one back in (9:00). Now need to find dinner

Edit: omg I just realized how you're supposed to use the jack to get them back in
