Dune was a fucking awesome movie

 

I never read the book but I'd heard Star Wars was heavily influenced by Dune (the book)...it's pretty obvious after watching the film anyway.

 

Ima buy the Audio books when I get the chance

 

After the way the movie ended (major blue balls), I might have to as well just to get the rest of the story

Oh I know, I mean they called it "part one" at the beginning so they'd better be

 

If I had to give it a negative critique, there was one point toward the beginning where the "doom and gloom" feel of the movie and characters gets a little heavy handed and starts feeling trite....but it makes up for itself. I mean the whole movie has that feeling of being sponsored by Prozac but I like that kind of stuff.
