    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
Had a neighbor growing up that had one of these 59' Dodge trucks. I think he brought it in from California he moved his family back. I remember it was loud as hell. Had a metal floorboard that vibrated from the exhaust noise. I remember it has a big V8 with some name like Power Dome -- had scalloped heads like a Chevy 348. It was geared so low it couldn't have been fast. His dad worked for the railroad maintenance crew and could get crossties when they would change them.

In those days, they would pull complete full-length used cross ties without cutting them up. He would take the truck and follow the track behind the repair crews and dispose of the cross ties. He has a big pile of them across the road from where we lived. Landscapers and people would buy used cross ties from him. The truck would haul a lot of crossties out of the woods where the railroad tracks were located.

We got the idea to use a used crosstie as a mailbox post. That was really stout. So when some drunk would try to run down your mailbox, they would get a surprise.

I remember they had trouble with starters on it often. People would stop by to help work on the starters. Seemed like a pain to keep it running. He finally got rid of it and bought a 66 Chevy pickup. He was kind of a crazy guy though. Very secretive and didn't want anybody around except his inlaws. They moved in a relocated house next door to his mother-in-law and they fixed it up. It turned out to look like a new house. The house wasn't that old when they moved it in, I think it had to be removed from its original location to clear the way for I-40. I bet they got a deal on it.

So they had a brother-in-law and mother-in-law on each side. The brother-in-law on the other side of him was kind of crazy. I remember the brother-in-law would "have a spell" and pour kerosene on the floors of the house and set it on fire. Then he would have to go over and help put out the fire. They came and got a water hose from us to help put out the fire. You would be sitting in your house watching TV and hear a knock at the door. Can we borrow your water hose? Earl had another spell and set the house on fire. Then we would take off running carrying buckets of water. We ran our well dry one night helping to put out the fire.

There were no fire stations out in that rural area. If you didn't put it out, a house would just burn to the ground. Eventually, the property started increasing in value when it became part of the city limits. So they all sold out and moved separate ways.

I love finding good scrap metal to glue together; the box was someones old project, and I found an already welded T to attach to the back of it.

Putting the 'h' someone cut out yesterday was a little tricky due to how thin the edges and tips of the letter were -

They will pull through over time.

I'd try and use something like 1/4 or 3/8" with washers on both sides. You can get to the back by removing the tail light

Grade 5 is plenty in this case, the bedside will probably tear long before you break a 5 or 8

Once you put those stiffeners on, or during, post pics!

I'd like to see if I need to run them a little shorter or not for @Taco critter
