it seems like a good idea because getting a personalized gift for everyone gets more difficult year after year

 

yeah it works great, it makes it so much less stressful. I wish we could do it for the entire family on both sides lol.

Getting gifts for every single person is expensive AF too, that stuff adds up. Not to mention thinking of all the ideas

 

I'm going to incorporate this next year. My kids are all just about grown up so it will be a better experience for us now.

 

Yeah, on my mom's side of the family when we were teenagers we started doing name exchange for xmas. My grandparents on my mom's side had like a dozen grandkids and even a few great grandkids, so it was impossible for everyone to expect a gift from every person.

Despite the name exchange, I still get gifts for my brothers toddlers and my sister's son. Just cause they're little kids and all. But when they're older they have to play the money saving game like the rest of us

 

Makes sense. 2 of my 3 sons are working now so we all need to save for all the shit boxes we can own.

I’m 23

I’ve just been taking my time, rather have 12 or so credits than 18 every semester.


I have 11 credits to do all together next year

I've got a hot lead on how to get the spark to work again, I'll probably drive it for a year then sell it so I can 2JZ swap a 240z... lol.

It’s even worse when someone is great at it. My sister is amazing at coming up with thoughtful gifts, many of which are related to each other.


I, on the other hand, am usually 1 or 2 drinks shy of getting out the Elmer’s glue and macaroni.

My wife is terrible at gifts any occasion. You can collect something for 20 years and it's still not a good enough hint.
