Well you probably won't ever break anything driving like Turbo haha. His style is very easy on the truck. Monte is less so but Monte is smart and knows not to load up the drivetrain in a way that will cause undue stress either. You can hammer it on dirt cause there is less traction anyway.

No idea, I know the locker itself is very solid but the rest of the diff is unknown to me.

They snap plenty easy, they're just as weak. Just longer Taco parts really.

I know they use a Harrop style magnetic locker, the size is smaller than the tundy for sure but I dunno how much smaller. I know the biggest Tacoma diff is only an 8.75

yea, i learned by watching friends how not to offroad. first gear lo range on rocks for example not a good idea to floor it. most i rev to in low gear is 3k in slick mud. but i only do that to clean tire tread.

In mud you ain't gonna break shit haha, not enough traction to matter. On flat dirt roads I've floored in 4wd, dumped the clutch and revved each gear to redline before banging to the next. They aren't that weak, there are just certain situations that will cause you issues. Like I'm not gonna go hard on slick rock because traction is high, especially with the binding in 4wd it is a recipe for breakage with unnecessary power.

It's usually the outer CV joint that shatters not the shaft itself or the inner joint

Just gotta know that it can't be treated like a sports car. It's too heavy with too small of a diff. You can be hard on it but you can't be jarring and you need to be careful whenever traction is good, also if you have a locker on then you really need to be careful.

the original one with my hard driving was in great shape... almost 300k and you could still see the paint on the ring gear. everythings mint in it. the spare diff i have is 3.73 gears though.. need my 4.10s
