PXL_20220129_204051811.jpg Last time I was looking for this 10mm I spent 30 minutes before I gave up and used the impact set. Opened up the case and it's right there :bananadead:

I have one of those exact sets!

And leaving a socket on the extension is exactly what I end up doing

Would I need a to an alignment if I replace the outer tie rods?

    I would

You can match it closely but I would still want to get it aligned, especially if I had good tires.

Might as well replace your ball joints

and the boots on your cv axles

    and your cv axle seals

    and your gear oil

and the swap to Lexus plugs on your diff

and the breather on your diff

    and your steering rack bushings

    and your control arm bushings

you know...while you're in there :burp:

Not quite wacked but when you sit down and you're looking at the out the door price on an 8 year old truck with 71K on it...I just had to bail. I know we're not going to be at pre-pandemic prices this year but in reality I can wait until my money goes further and in the meantime I can throw some dough at the Tacoma, and possibly just add something small to DD.

An out the door for you would simply be -

Price + tax (probably stupid cheap compared to us here) + DMV + a documentation fee of $100 or less.

How far off were they compared to what you came up with?

Good plan. Money spent on the "pandemic premium" will never come back in the end.

I remember the days when there was a 100 unit waiting list or a $6,000 premium over list for a Volkswagen Rabbit Diesel. As soon as the madness ended, people damn near couldn't give one away.

Yes definitely. Even if you match up the thread count chances are it'll still be off. Mine was

On the other hand I've never gotten an alignment after adjusting my coilovers, never really saw the need but def after tie rods
