Right in front of the leaf spring hangers, near the shock mounts are the most obvious usually. Hit with a sharp hammer, if it goes through or sounds especially dull its donezo.

Yes and no, if you're just going for speed and acceleration absolutely. If you wanna have fun in a truck on some dirt quickly it's a hard platform to beat. Costs are low and maintenance is easy even boosted.

 

Cause your timing is a confusing jumble and you're undergeared for an auto

 

Maybe I'll do 4.88's.

 

@Speedytech7 this is a total daydream that I'm unlikely to ever pursue, but...

Is there a boost setup that would give worthwhile performance gains on regular gas at 6000+ feet elevation?

I understand that an engine tuned like that would have problems if driven at lower elevations, so follow-up question (assuming there's a positive answer to the first question).. would there be a reasonably unfussy way to deal with those complications? Switch to premium at lower altitudes? Re-tune the engine?
