Honestly she's not bad at all. I'm gonna do the brakes as soon as I'm done moving. My dad thought it was hilarious and offered to help me rattle can it a fresh color

2 coats of PVA primer on all the new drywall done. Underestimated how much got absorbed into the drywall and had to grab another gallon before home depot closed. Im beat, and I still need to brush all the corners. And do 3 coats of regular primer in the hallway.

You guys really don't do texture there huh? I can't recall ever seeing a wall without it. Sounds like hard prep

Nope. Ive only seen it in homes that had old school plaster walls.

Yeah its hard work. Doesnt help that the walls that arent new are painted a super dark grey. I think 1 or 2 coats of primer would be enough if they were lighter, but no such luck. I want to do 2 coats max of color coat since paint prices are super high right now. So a good primer base is super important.

I think a well done knock down or skip trowel texture can look great on an accent wall. But the entire house is kinda old school imo.

Around here we recognize the entire east coast as US v1.0 which is outta style. Texture is the norm out here tho, it's super easy too which is nice.

In Florida most houses have it. Cheap builders use it cause it hides imperfections in framing and Sheetrock from shit work. I agree, hate it and a pain in the ass to match.

Same here. The quality of construction is better in general prob. I think the moisture in the air of some areas makes tape pop more and knock down can keep that under control and you can just repaint it vs retaping.
