I had the conversation with my boss this week that if I need better pay, then i'm going to quit because I know raises that the company allows won't get me there. He agreed with me 100% but doesn't have enough control with the mothership to give the raises he wants. It sucks - common problem across the board with companies.

We'll see how it goes this year. Last year was disappointing, even though my performance was 'above average'. Supposedly due to inflation raises will be more robust this year, but i'll do the math and see where I land.

Yup. Companies don't understand the value of their employees, or how hard it is to get good ones. Some of my coworkers are *the* experts in their subject areas and would be damn near impossible to replace if they quit. We're even looking for a guy right now with a particular expertise in the industry because ours is about to retire in a couple years, and its just tumbleweeds out there. Feels like we might have to train someone up from scratch.

If we quit because they won't pay us what we're worth - thats a serious problem.

We're hiring in Mesa, AZ btw. If you have an EE degree that's about the only real requirement

Oh I pissed off some people for sure when it finally hit them that Im out the door. I was pretty irreplaceable at that place. What 99% of factories have to pay out the ass and contract out, I did in house for pennies on the dollar.

    Sucks for them I guess.

They really are a blast. Even the non S three pot models are super fun, and those are still fast enough around town to have a good time without having to worry about getting in trouble.
