I'm putting off working on the truck until I have time. Been too busy. I'm going to have to hop into my next group buy here pretty soon, I'm planning a Pacific NW trip to pick up some horns.

 

Yeah it's a hybrid, I'm not a fan of it either. But it is a shitload stronger than any plate bumper out there.

Yes! I'm thinking about that. Arizona/Nevada, maybe Texas. I know Texas will have a lot of flood cars.

 

Surprisingly there's not a lot in the pick n pulls. I called 3 of them looking for old Buicks or Caddies and only found 1. But stock rotates so who knows by now.

 

That's a long ass drive.

 

Maybe all the old people are still driving em then, certainly enough of those beaters rolling around haha

Nope, bunch of flat pieces that meet at sharp angles with the occasional skeleton piece behind it is not stronger than formed tube with stringer gussets.

 

it's when you combine the tube and plate is when it really gets strong
