    Shit I forgot about those.

I remember reading about it last year in the Anything Welding thread.

I have a tendency to just start expensive, even though I don't like to but it's always "worked out"

Until the Primeweld TIG welder. That was just a stupidly great bang for your buck sort of thing.

Hoping I can hit a homer with a tube bender, that won't have me crying so much.

Oh, me too. But, I have learned that hf has some good shit. The hyd press is awesome, the drill press is awesome. Shit, I even got a paint sprayer that nailed it. Am I buying a tig or mig from them, hell no.

Leer camper shell, tatami mat in the back, bumper hitch, potential 4runner front bumper swap.
Will write this up in another thread but, the stock wisdom of "Bumpers from a 3rd gen 4runner will fit on a 1st gen tacoma" aren't quite right. The main center brackets are okay if you have a drill press to put in another hole, but the fender brackets don't align right, at least not on a 5-lug base model Tacoma. Learned this the hard way after some off-road driving meant the edges of the bumper started scraping against the paint along the fender.

You'd be surprised, I've heard and read a lot of good things about their Vulcan welders.

I did get a chance to try a MIG only Titanium and I liked it enough to want to own one!

Reminds me of that saying "it's not the welder, it's the welder"

If you're using a hydraulic press, it's fair to say you're bending pipe thicker than that of an exhaust.

When are you gonna bring that metal over so I can make you your rack?

Don't forget the Miller too :burp:

Doesnt surprise me. I wouldn't get a hf welder unless I knew someone with it and I could confirm it was just like a higher end one. Idk the price points on mig and tig there but the plasma is almost 1000. Ill just spend an extra few hundys and get the miller.

Oh, by the way. We have a miller cst 280 for stick welding pipe. I just found out you can get a tig torch for it. Have you ever used one of those with a tig?

If room and weight wasn't an issue, I would've jumped on the Miller CP300 I saw on FB marketplace the other day.

I use one for work as shown here when I welded up my bumper -

    20220330_170811.jpg

    It was only what...$750?

Has an old school rotating handle you use to raise or lower voltage.

I prefer that old transformer-based machine over the $4,000 or $6,000 Miller 255 I use at school.
