I welded a set of these up for someone, usually only the second gens put a gusset there to stabilize the tie rod extension.

 

Front never hit the bumpstop. Never replaced it after my lift. I've had some jarring flops and wanted to try something cheap.

Does using one of them haltech things mean you can tune for something other than premium gas?

 

Yes, but you cannot expect the same power. But yes we will be building an 87 tune for him and an eco tune

Was really just curious, it’d be a small pain to have to keep premium gas cans separate sometimes. Or having someone dump the wrong grade in

 

At the same time I was there a guy was dropping his truck off but needed it "back by one to take his kid to an appointment" and the advisor was like "wellll we should probably reschedule this" lol

For my truck the service advisor was like "the earliest we can look at it is today but realistically it's gonna be at least a day or two". I was like "yeah, that sounds pretty reasonable to me" and he was like "yeah it sounds like you're familiar with diesels" because I mentioned having a 6.0


ended up BSin about shitty trucks and shitty customers for a bit after that lol

 

Buy regular and just stock a case of these

Wouldn't you need to add several of those just to increase octane by a couple points? I know there are some legit octane boosters out there but I've heard most you see in stores really just add a fraction of a point

 

I guess it is a Lucas brand so it's probably good, I was thinking more of those ones you see in gas stations like STP and what not
