Easily avoidable too if the brakes were making noise for awhile. Gotta learn the hard way I guess.

Atleast where I work I could just borrow a forklift for a jackstand.

Hammer on a socket that's slightly smaller, give her the beans with a propane torch (HF has a cheap kit if you don't have one) then use the hammer against the ratchet handle to shock load the socket

Another thing you could get is a little tea candle, get it hot with a torch and melt the candle against the head or on the back where the threads are. I've had 1000% better luck with melted wax compared to any penatrating fluid

They are definitely worth trying as they are one of the only options. I know Irwin makes a set of sockets that are helical looking on the inside that do good at grabbing rounded bolts. Forget what theyre called though. Seen em at the homedepot and we had a set at my last job for oh shit kinda moments when the torch was too inconvenient.

Worst case scenario on that is you snap the bolt head off and have to use the other 4 to hold the new rotor on until you can get to a shop. Or just reinstall the other bolts, slap in the new pads and let a shop swap the rotors this weekend.

For some reason I thought we were talking about a caliper bolt.

Heading home to grab a torch, what size should i smack on? Stock size is 14 i think, and 9/16 wont work anymore bc rounded. Ill look for those bolt extractor sockets at home depot on our way back

If you get those sockets just use the 14, it'll be snug because it's designed to bite into rounded off nuts and bolt heads

Tbh, if I were stuck in a parking lot in AZ I would take the L on this one and go this route. No shame in doing so.

Reminds me of the second time I changed my own oil. Couldnt get the filter off cause the first time I did it I used a ratchet to tighten that bitch down. Didnt want it to leak ya know. Me and my dad deformed the filter tryna get it off, ended up dumping in the new oil and getting it done at the dealer.
