    That’s the likely cause. I have to find time to remove it and have it balanced.

    i was hoping to get the red truck running but that’s been pushed off till may. Once that’s got a frame under it I’m going to make sure it’s not my tires. 90% sure it’s not… since this vibes been here as long as I’ve owned the truck. And the previous owner had it ever since the first driveshaft rebuild at 170k

    Every toyota ive had other than a 3rd gen 4runner has had shaft issues.

    Were they caused by people willy nilly throwing driveshafts together after doing carrier bearings? I've fixed a couple of those

    Brand new 2nd gen had vibration from day one. They wanted to take my dash apart to fix. I was not with that. At 220k the 1st gen shafts take a shit. Had 3 of them die at the same mileage. That doesn't really count since they hold on for a while. The 3rd gen actually never had issues. Forgot about that one.

    Ive had 3 shafts from Rock auto that were bad from day one. That sucks. Ive done 5 in and out shaft swaps in the last 6 months not including one I had to take from one truck to another to sell and im rolling around with a squeaky one now cause im over it. Not Toyotas fault though.

    3rd gens do indeed still have vib issues and im STILL replacing leaf springs at work after all these years.
