I specifically ordered a small drink here at Taco Bell; guy gave me a large cup

My truck seems to like going to 212 degrees, no higher, dunno how I feel about that

 

Replace that thermostat.

4R was getting up to 208 on the warmest days, but would drop slightly while driving.

Changed it and it never went past 188.

 

Seems too high

Before I had a shop replace the freeze plugs, mine ran consistently around 188. Now it stays around 193 - 198 but I never see it go over that. one of these days need to check my t-stat and make sure it was put in correctly

 

I’m wondering if the shop installed it wrong last summer with the TB

 

seems high even for an upside down t-stat but might be that autos just run a bit hotter than manuals, IDK

 

Jiggle valve at 6 o'clock. At 12 it'd only run a slight bit warmer.

There's a rubber o-ring that should get replaced with it as well.

Around 198? then yeah could be they put it in upside down

 

Just need a deep socket 6-wall 10mm, and a swivel.

3 bolts hold the thermostat housing.
