My cost of living adjustment didn't meet inflation but I got a hat and a sweater! Pretty sick

Our boss told us similar last week as well. Raises yes, but not enough to keep up with inflation.

But hey, they put up a nice new company logo sign above the back door and are remodelling parts of the building to make it a better place to work, yaaaaaaaay.

 

I at least got told by the owner he knows we're making less due to the rise of inflation and sincerely apologized he couldn't do more for it, but intends on giving a sizeable bonus at the end of the year to help compensate.. sales are just too low this time of year to do anything right away.

At least working for a tiny ass company I know he's not paying himself an exorbitant rate while we get shafted. There are some months I know he makes less in payroll than we do

 

Better place to work like Google? Free unlimited snacks and nap chambers?

 

I work for a school district, the snacks are already unlimited but the naps are hard to come by
