Front diff question, specifically the manual diff tube - snap ring/bearing... anything I need to know before removing to replace?

    Thx.

My grandparents moved from rural Canada to the Seattle area

I spent a couple months per year with them when I was growing up

That's never worked on my pups. Me reminding them who alpha is, has a much higher success rate.

Go pee in a jar. On the next cloudy day go and huff that jar and drink some Starbucks and it should take you right back to Seattle. Or Portland if you do it from inside a tent.

Yep, already have both seals on hand. Originals already pulled, needle bearing in the trash and ECGS bushing in. Need to order the bearing for the tube and may replace the snap ring as well.

The entire assembly should be removable. Toyota sells the diff tube without the guts included. I'm not sure if that is a second snap ring or not. Not at the desktop so not looking it up on the phone. Too frustrating lol.

That'll suck if I threw those snap rings away

I have extra parts in baggies at home, somewhere in a bin in my garage. I'll check later.

It's stuff I was going to give to @Abeyancer but he said he's going to be moving so if anything, he's downsizing now.

Hope you get more lucky than myself, but I had to take the clamshell apart to pull the ADD stub out. I couldn’t, for the life of me, pry it out of the clamshell.

Used a 1/4” extension through the spider cage and hammered it out.
