I've helped my grandfather build all the bookshelves in the library they used to have. I can't say enough good things about this product. Patience is key as it absolutely requires at least 2 coats with sanding in between

Too damn true... what I've learned from the manufacturing industry is a company is only required to have a minimum of 51% of its products fabricated here to use the "made is US" moniker. You can have 90% of the components made overseas but if it's slapped together stateside you can put "Assembled with foreign and domestic parts"


I don't need everything made in America, I use hydraulic components from Czech and Italy.. diesel motors from Germany and Italy. Fittings and hardware from India. But all the custom fab work we don't make in house, we outsource to local shops

Minwax was what I was thinking also. I have never used it over paint but it looks like it will work. Thanks for the input.

 

I used it over a wood oil stain that never finished drying, set up great. I did 3 coats on all the shelves cause I was 17 year old bookworm who was just learning how to use his hands for trades work.

I hand brushed a total area of 12"W X 1/3 of a mile long
