Our sink has a built-in filter, but I don't drink from it.

I guess I love my minerals too much cause I'll drink from our fridge dispenser.

 

Ok what the fuck. Have these kids never heard of lens filters, much cheaper to scratch a $10 UV filter than to ruin a good lens

Food safe 3D printers have been around for a while, super cheap at almost any grocery store

Was keeping it under wraps but; I did a weld test last week and an employer wants to hire me.

Except they want me to finish school before they bring me on. That and I need to submit for final background check 2 weeks prior to graduating so that I can start right after I'm done with school.

Some of the perks are a moot point - medical, vacation, etc. I say moot cause I'm double covered with the wife and by the VA so I won't need to pay into that with them.

They do salary and their plant works around the clock - 3 shifts running 24/7.

Company does commercial cooling/etc. and they alone have plants worldwide.

I'll be ready to make a more sound decision in the coming months but it sounds really promising; career-based really. But that's just it, I wanted to work less.

Welding is all on stainless steel via MIG.

 

Its a refrigeration company?
You gunna be welding ammonia lines? All the ammonia companies ik have dedicated welders just for the pipe. And then techs for everything else

99% of the machines+parts+etc. are all done in-house. I wouldn't be welding on an operational machine; I would be helping make one as part of a long assembly. A trigger puller but with benefits and better pay.

They have a few spots for machine operators for bending, rolling, etc. But they need a few welders.

There's even separate departments that manufacture replacement parts to send out for their other companies and/or customers.

would you have a more standard schedule with them?
