yeah I definitely had a pair during 7th or 8th grade but I seem to remember our school outlawing those too, cause kids were putting that soap shit all over the curbs and rails and it would stain them after awhile. Not to mention all falling on our asses and getting hurt on school property

I remember yo-yos made a big comeback there for awhile during 6th - 9th grade or so, kids were learning crazy tricks...I could do the cats cradle thing with mine but that's about as good as I got

ohhh yeah I think that's what it was called, where you make a triangle out of the string and thing swing the yo yo through it lol. I might be thinking of a different trick with the other thing.

And the Good yo-yo's were fucking expensive!

Then you got a cheap one only for it to not 'spin in place as long' or do anything you'd need it too.

They did look cool though with their ball bearings and all.

Courses could be taught on 90s culture alone

Think the one thing I regret doing is taking on playlist requests from friends/classmates.

I was one of the few with a cd burner and that shit was slooooow...what 4x?

So you'd sit and hang out at the computer for over half an hour cause you never truly got 4x burn speed....

And you took it upon yourself to delete a song or two cause all their songs wouldn't fit on 1 disc.

haha yeah burning and trading mix CDs all day long. I wish I could find my big CD binder that I lost in a move several years back.

I only wish I had been born 5 - 10 years earlier so I could've been old enough to appreciate 90s music while it was happening and see those great concerts live. 90s was the last great decade for music before it all changed....thanks Napster

Thank you for the tips and insight, I'll watch some videos later and try and decide if the additional labor is worth it.

Might be better to just find a different vendor compared to making them myself lol

speaking of nostalgia, it's funny that this song has blown up recently due to the show Stranger Things. Originally came out the year I was born (1985)

I wish I was cool enough for pro wings! I got chucks whenever an older brother got new shoes and I got the Payless discount on a second pair.

Otherwise I only got whatever size that was in stock in the Payless clearance bin lol

I think the only actual name brand shoes I got a pair of Reebok, and they were the Shawn Kemp's.

Mom had got them on sale or clearance somewhere, and I remember I was so stoked to have them.

Of course because they were already phased out, some of the kids made fun of me for it.

I still thought they were badass LOL

Although once I started working, I bought all my own shoes.

I'm talking D3s, Chad Muskas, etc.

I was skateboarding a lot so I made sure to get all the best shoes.
