@tymeson, that trans won't work for you, and the gear ration likely isn't right either for the front diff

 

I got practically everything for a add 4wd conversion...
Minus a t case and drive shaft and ecu

 

So you have like half the things for a conversion

@Sperrunner it's gonna take you forever to put that frame together if you don't get a wrecked parts truck to at least get the mechanicals

 

I have about 80% the suspension

Also been busy with other things, so haven’t really been looking for more oartsy

 

.. and a body

 

Steel tube and fiberglass...

 

My frame will be a roller in a few weeks.


The old frame will also be a roller.

 

If i drive up to tahoe tomorrow i can make my frame a roller by Wednesday

 

I have to wait to throw mine together... gotta find a rear axle for the old one so I can get the old frame with the body over to my storage unit. The new frames getting everything put on including the engine and trans then the body’s getting put on the frame after bodywork..

 

I have everything for the front and the axel is sitting in tahoe.

As for everything else, idk when that will ever happen

Been out of town for a few days. I like it, just trying to keep it to a bare (of work) minimum for now. I'm likely only going to keep this bumper for maybe a year or so, so I don't want to get into any tube work just yet. Once I get my actual winch bumper, the shape/design will likely completely change anyway.

Engine is as apart as I plan to take it now... I'll do the rear main and oil pump but those are tiny bolt on

 

My buddy just got his daily tune dynod for his Z. At 26.5psi max, and he revved it out to 8k

 

I asked Aev conversions if they were gonna do a Tacoma ever.

They said no.

 

I don't blame them, hard to maintain the illusion of durability if the owners actually test that

 

My friend got one of their trucks for a company truck, almost burnt down
