Generac is the one go-to I've heard a lot about for backup power needs.

    Do you have one?

We don't. Not that we wouldn't want one, other things are priority.

Even though it's hot AF outside, it's nice how efficient our home is as it remains a constant temperature indoors.

I missed the generator part though? I mentioned motors regarding pressure washing.

I actually do not have one but its at the top of the list. Solar batts are a good standby but I want a more perm solution and yes, Generac is one of the top brands that came up when I was researching. Not to mention costco item, right? lol

Tell me you have AC dude... Energy efficient is great but where you're at, f-that man. Hell, even next to the bay I can't live without my AC.

I mentioned honda generators but yeah, honda engines in general . If I had to buy a portable gas generator, it would be honda.

Nah she just hates the leash in general. She likes going inside, just gets distracted easily between the gate and the car port door.

For what it's worth Yamaha makes a small gas inverter generator that will rival Hondas effectiveness

But big home standby is Generac first (unless it's for a business)

Good thing my wife's a Costco member.

And yes, we have AC and only cause I'm paying the electric bill do I run it every day.

We didn't have it on when we came back from Memorial Day weekend and it was still cool as hell (arriving in the afternoon on a hot ass day).

As for Honda engines, or anything small engine related, I just read up on the knowledge @Abeyancer bestows upon us once in a blue moon.

When the neighbors are dark and lose all creature comforts, when you are the only house that is 'lit', remember your storage unit is now on-site. ;) :laser:

Not to replace salinas, but if you look into a storage/shed for the backyard then first to look at is Tuff Shed. https://www.tuffshed.com/bay-area/sanjose/

Home Depot can hook you up. Have one of these and really are worth every $.

    Awesome.
I was a bit surprised with the base. They left mine the same way. Just doesn't have that finished look. I've had that on the list forever to fix. lol

If I did it as often as I'd like to, y'all would block my ass from all the data dumping:laughing:

As far as pressure washers go, brand is inconsequential they all just slap pumps on motors and call it their own. What will really make the difference is brand of pump.

My recommendation is to go to the pawn shop and get one for cheap, 8 times out of 10 the only thing it needs is the pump torn apart and the pistons cleaned, most don't even need resealed.

Don't let a pressure washer run for more than 60secs without pulling the trigger. The built in unloader valve overheats and will stick causing it to stop working and people think they're dead. It's too expensive to have a professional work on it foe the consumer models but honestly someone of your mechanical skill set could fix em easy peasy

When the Russians invade Colorado, I'm rounding up the entire LT thread to mount an insurgency. We'll be power washing them away with white claw in no time

Or better yet, you come out here and we'll hit up local pawn shops together :burp:

A lot of shit gets stolen in Fresno so I'd imagine there's a shit ton of good things to find at a pawn shop out here.

Then Colorado residents will have a legit reason for having shit boxes that don't run.

Same. I had an existing concrete pad where the old aluminum shed was but it wasn't the same size as the area of the tuff shed, close but not exact. So they added a few paver pieces or whatever the hell they're called along the sides. Looks exactly how yours is set. I have the double door, not the single.

A ramp might be nice. Do it!

Our yard only measures 22.5' x 50' so what, 1,100 sq/ft? It's small hence why we opted for a smaller shed with taller roof.

It's ok though cause we've tossed a lot of stuff out of our sheds. It's just the hassle of having to go through and filter what we need and don't while reminding ourselves of how big our shed is. It's really helped to prioritize what's important and what isn't.
