    Every other day, on a Facebook group called 559Yotas, someone posts a new thread asking if Bald is Open.

    It's a tall summit, with a lookout for wildfires. Oversees the mountain range. It's all BLM so a lot of people go out there to wheel and camp.

    There's a ton of technical trails out there but also easy ones; someone posted making it up there in an older Camry even :rofl:

    Anyway, it gets closed for a short bit after a heavy winter, or if something like a wildfire erupts. Closures aren't always the most accurate (or up to date online) so every other day there's a new thread.

    Oh shit, now I’m tracking!

    Thankfully, we cultured folk here in the land of Coors Banquet have Bushducks and their mountain pass status reports!

    (It’s entirely dependent on brave souls checking the passes out and reporting back, tho).

    @Speedytech7

    I put a known good distributor from my camry on the celica and it made no difference

    The connector for the cam position sensor in the distributor was cut and poorly soldered by the previous owner

    I spliced a different connector from another harness and used barrel crimp connectors with heat shrink to connect the 2 wires than wrapped them individually in electrical tape

    Still no difference, still the cam position sensor circuit code

    I'm thinking of depinning the cam position sensor wires from the engine harness connector on the back of the ecu and running two wires direct from the sensor to the back of the computer

    If I do that and it still doesn't work what do you suggest I do?

    Cam pos sensor is a VR sensor, it needs to be shielded, running two unprotected wires is gonna fail miserably. check for continuity first and then follow the procedure to shim the sensor to the reluctor on the dizzy, the air gap is important
