Great weather we're having here today.

A buddy of mine was talking about hiking up to Devil's Playground in hopes of catching a glimpse. It's a hard hike on a nice day... and there might be rangers up there shooing people away. I'll have to ask tomorrow if he followed through.

 

I remember my dad teaching me how to drive an old ford 3-speed manual clutchless when I was about 12 years old. I didn't get to drive an automatic until later on. I had weird parents that like to drive manual transmissions with big engines. I thought we were deprived of the luxuries of a Powerglide.

 

I found a good way to clean up a glass top and remove burned-on carbon. Just spray it with oven cleaner and let it sit all night. Doesn't scratch the glass and melts the carbon off like an oven. Just get the type with less odor.

 

This screams I bought it for 6 grand and had some mechanic charge me another 6 grand and he didn't fix the problem I didn't know was there so im selling it and don't know what to put on this ad

 

I will give that a try next time, I always have oven cleaner in the garage, it's good for all sorts of stuff. Ever cleaned a diesel intake haha.

 

Hell yea! I've used it to melt caked-up carbon from an EGV valve in the VQ30.

I'd love to clean off the axle housings on the LC. I cleaned a ton of gunk off the Tacoma's rear end and made it look like new with good ol' simple green (concentrated, not diluted) and a small brush and pressure washer.



It was caked with gunk, atf, mud, and more.

 

He's taking home that red fender that I picked up for him some weeks back.

Maybe it'll match slightly better for 49 shades of red

 

ZEP Industrial Purple cleaner, mix it 4:1 or 2:1 and don't breath near it. But it'll fix you right up with a scrub brush

I've got 2-3 different degreasers and they work well, but feel they might not be up to the task of the LC's crud.
