    Yep.

But I was asking about his down payment if it were because of an LTV thing or not?

Maybe offer a bit of advice on the finance thing.

I mean, you could put it on but you'd still need a clutch cause that honda one wouldn't fit.

BUT it wouldn't feel all that fast since those aluminum frames are actually fairly heavy

    So, buy the setup.

Sell my motor, and rebuild the Honda powerplant?

    Not lying though.

Vehicles are still in short supply; I drive by a VW and Toyota dealership every day when I go home from school and they have practically nothing on their lots.

Yet as I drive by, I see the few vehicles that they do have with stupid add-ons like nerf bars, ugly wheels, etc. Surely a ploy to force someone to buy into all the extra add-ons for a ridiculous mark up (where a sucker will end up doing anyway).

Lenders rates are also steadily rising.

Hell, when I looked around for a beater Toyota or Honda I couldn't find anything less than $3,500 really. Makes more sense to just continue with gas the way it is than to buy another vehicle and add insurance.

Reminds me, there were 2 threads within a week of each other in the 3rd Gen section just a month or two ago.

Both buyers were confirming their suspicions about their purchase; they spent anywhere from $7k to $10k for spacer kits, wheels, and tires and maybe some side steps.

Worst part about both purchases is that they didn't even get credited for the take-offs (or receive them with the truck) :bananadead:

I just need to get paid Thursday for the down payment.

I definitely woulda used the 99 money for it though.

I just asked the bank for 13k, now I don’t know if they took the 1k down into that or not though.

    Ok.

When you're with your lender again, ask to see their rate sheets.

See where you fall on that rate sheet based on the structure of your deal.

You may be surprised to find that an extra thousand may bring your loan to value to a better region where your interest rate can drop another 1-2%.

Add to that going from a 60 to a 48 month term (or whatever you're doing) could drop it another 1-3%; rates are lower the shorter the term you finance and even less if you're borrowing less than what the vehicle is worth.

You can find that the extra thousand bucks, comes out to the same payment at a shorter term and a lower interest rate which could translate to $1,000 to $5,000 over the life of the loan.

Yes, I made money off of people (which is in response to Mike's meme above) but I also helped to structure deals to save a customer money in order for me to be able to sell my product for an even larger profit. If the customer declined said products, it's ok because at least they knew I managed to help them in the end which is what I aimed to do anyway.

The products I'd sell benefit the customer so everything really was, for the customer.

As for you borrowing $13k, whatever you put down is just to offset the difference for the cost of whatever you're buying. For instance, if the vehicle you want is $15k, you're borrowing $13k from your bank and you pay up the rest upfront.

going from 60 to 48 dropped it like 1%, I think it’s at 4.49 or something.

I don’t think they took into account the 1000 down, find out Friday or so

If it's through a credit union, it could help to find out if they offer a rate shave for setting up automatic payments.

Could even be a discount for being affiliated with certain companies, etc.

This right here... if you're eligible for a credit union - look into it. They always will do better in terms of what they offer. @JKO1998 Does your school have a CU?

Currently my CU is advertising a 2.29% / 36mo. Goes up to a 3.59 but thats for a "blood sucking NEVER would do it" 84mo.
