Valve from the shower drain to the backyard

 

Being in a warmer climate, what do you guys have in the backyard?

 

New project idea; do a small plumbing job for air now that I have the air compressor tucked in.

Was going to just have a drop to quickly attach a hose or not but a reel does sound convenient.

Ooooh, that looks way more convenient than freaking cutting and brazing copper pipe together.

Here were my 2 ideas -



1. Green, up from the compressor, to a ceiling-mounted reel...maybe more above the rack so I can have the end "catch" by the rack stand.

2. Yellow, up from the compressor and follow the wall where the rack is, over the door, and a drop just by my wood bench.

 

More and more I look at this kit, the more I feel could be the perfect solution I need.

Not doing plumbing yet until I move more stuff around. I'm contemplating just tossing the HF motor, extra jackstands and whatnot in the shed.

Been about a month since I've had the little car...so far, while its a perfect city car, my only problem with dailying a quick, small manual like this, is all it and I want to do is go fast and enjoy the ride and it makes traffic crawling more annoying until you get a good break. My theory of it making my commute more fun is a little off lol. But man, early morning and late night runs, hell yes please.

I think now that I have the perfect setup but my vintages are reversed. New/modern for the utility/truck/wagon as dd and older/vintage for the quick fun happy machine.

 

Are you putting something in yourself?
Only ask because my folks have been thinking of a system but their neighbors have had so many issues with a company installed system, including burst pipes last winter. Always have the company out doing work.

 

I'll be putting in either CPVC or PVC as they sell it in 10' long sections.

If you look to the left of the patio, that's where my faucet is. It's hard to see but if you look closely, it's trenched halfway up towards the wall.

I'll be able to add a timer/sprinkler system there as I have a covered outlet just a few feet from the faucet.

Red depicts where I'll run pipe, and cyan just outlines the perimeter of the new would-be lawn -

 

Dont use CPVC. It gets brittle and cracks in a few years.

 

Ahh, here I thought it was supposed to be stronger since it withstands higher pressures.

Or really, I could continue to use my bluetooth-activated timer that's already on the faucet. I just considered going with one of those nicer setups as I have one in front of the house.

I see these kits with flexible hose but not sure how long that stuff will actually last.
