Vehicle ownership is an abusive relationship you are either the abuser or the abused

Just surprising because of how abused this engine is. It should've lost more ponies than the 04 by now. The automatic in the 04 also takes some power away.

Put new batteries in the thermostat for my attic fan.

Wonder how long those have been dead :anonymous:

My old Snap-On gauges and the even older robinair vacuum have been good to me. I have new hoses for them somewhere

I put a new idler pulley on, shorter belt, fixed the compressor wire, vacuumed the system, charged her up

Definitely helped the air in the attic--I hung out there long enough to see the reading drop a degree--but not sure yet how much it will help the house. It's only been an hour or two. Can't hurt anyway.

This gives me PTSD. I still have a roof mounted swamp cooler. Last week, the water line decided the insulation in the attic looked too hot and dry. There's two powered vents I noticed weren't working so spent 20 more minutes in the sweat box fixing that shit. Small attic space but it felt like a 10-20° drop after they were back on.

I have a whole house fan, can suck the heat out the house and blow it out the attic all in one go.
