Oof! I remember that on the news.

During the pandemic bow hunt of 2020, my buddy and I stopped to help a couple with a 6yo. Their rzr tossed a belt and we had an extra. I had just taken the cover off to get to the belt, stepped back and the kid had his dads Glock pointed at my face. He was only 4-5' away from me. Talk about life flashing before your eyes!

I just can't fathom how anyone, especially a parent, can leave their firearm easily accessible for a child to get a hold of. So many ways that could have ended in tragedy, same as that UT news story. Lucky no one got seriously hurt or killed.

 

His dad put his backpack on the ground and the boy just reached in a pulled it out. I was past weirded out after that. Didn't feel like hunting so I went back to camp. Had to process wtf just happened.

 

Yeah I can imagine. That's crazy. I don't care how well someone thinks they've introduced their kids to firearm safety (assuming he even had), a child should never have uninhibited access to one. Too many ways that could have ended horrifically

I check up on this build every few months and it's just something else every time.

 

Will you look at that, they drilled it to their roof.

Wtf is that mounting plate even about, you'd think they would find a way to use the OEM roof rail to do it

Why even attach it to the roof at all

 

They designed it to sit too close to the cab so they figured the noise of it contacting was worse than two horrible roof holes.
