I don't know how I feel about third gens yet, but I love how they look. I was buddy buddy with the security guard at my old high school because he had a brand new 2016 DCSB TRD Sport. It was making this terrible knocking sound one day that sounded like a Diesel. Toyota told him it was normal.

Stock seats with some cheapo Amazon covers on them. This was just to get by until I installed my power Lexus ES300 seats, which I'm scrapping the idea of installing because they don't fold forward to get into the back. They're black leather, power, dual stage heated, and have airbags.

I grew up in the truck I drive now, I actually sat in the front with a booster seat when I was younger. Airbag off, of course.

Double cabs cant cause you're supposed to use the rear seat. And my 96 only has a drivers side bag

Just unscrew the switch from the trim and leave it behind the dash and put some switches in

I always wondered why they changed the center control stack design in '98. To fit the airbag shutoff.

luckily my wife is small and can sit in the passenger seat with it slid forward nearly all the way, so that helps create more room in the back. Either way I'm hoping that when that time comes, I'll be able to afford a second vehicle but it would still be nice to be able to take the kid with us on trips in the truck every now and again.

2001+ was even more 'child friendly', Toyota added anchor hooks for car seats in the trim under the rear window.

yeah I have that, I think it was a federal requirement even though Toyota probably knew most people weren't going to use an extra cab to tote their babies/toddlers around. But hopefully I can make it work if I need to.

I use it every once in a while on my Cruiser but it delays the lockup of third way too long and delays the lockup of fourth until past 65mph. My trans doesn't need that extra wear/heat and my MPG dont either
