The Evo saw is a good stop gap

If you get a chopsaw you begin to tolerate mediocrity and misery and your garage is never clean

God forbid you use it on the driveway and don't clean up every bit of dust after you're done so now it's painted in rust

Cold saws are nice for sure, great cuts and I find the cuttings to be very managable. Haven't used a bandsaw yet, but they seem to be the other go-to, alot of times its just a portaband on a stand.

Hot saw is not an option for me.

I'd go Evo for the ease of cutting square and round quickly and accurately.

Bandsaw accomplishes this as well, but will take longer, takes up more real-estate, and wouldn't be large enough for wide pieces of flat stock unless I spent $4k+ on a good one.

So yeah I'm between those 2.

Yeah, many people make their own, or you could get the setup from SWAG.

But I'm talking about one of these -

    33A9C46F-B710-491B-B77A-7BCB875CEC4A.jpg

Smaller versions only run as much as an Evo saw but again, won't accept flat stock wider than 3-4"

Ah yeah, a floor model would be a pain in a small garage.

I find myself moving the saw around or outside when I have long material to cut. Portability is useful.

    Yeah, sounds really convenient.

Also, my back hurt when I pictured myself moving that shit outside and cutting steel while on the floor lol.

Ugh yeah, everything is heavy in this business. If I had the space the saw would be on a dedicated cart with wheels. I have a slugger 14 and it’s hefty, but they did at least slap a convenient handle on top and it fits on a shelf.

My coworker is really into vintage bikes. He bought this NOS Schwinn frame for like, $6,000.

Simple joysticks, limited to vertical movement, for a total of 3 in an enclosure.

Think of an arcade controller in a box/enclosure.

These 3 joysticks running on one circuit powered via USB cable to use as a controller.

I want to incorporate a custom controller setup for my forklift game on steam

I can picture you going into detail with nice rubber boots, long throw levers, etc. just like the real deal.

    Right?

I don't want to keep using a controller though and I only used the forklift maybe 2-3 times the past few days :pout:

Oh so like Suzo-Happ joysticks? Yeah that’s doable.
