Japan was the China of the 60's/70's. Absolute junk. Then they wised up and started making quality stuff.

I dont know, just the compressors have gone up in price a ton cause of inflation. I bought em for like $275 in 2016. They're easily $430+ now. The rest isn't very expensive maybe $200 all told in parts. It's not a cheap thing. I wouldn't make one if I didn't already own the compressors.
