$850 is reasonable. I paid a professional transmission shop with an excellent reputation $998 to R&I the flexplate that shattered as a result of the torque converter grenading itself.

Runout gauges are your friend.

 

Honestly, most of the places I called said no to supplying my own parts too. I couldn't believe it.

 

Really? The shop I used allowed me to provide my own parts. Even a used TC.

 

I budgeted a 1000, so I don't feel like its too bad. 150 incase anything funky comes up.

Yep, there is a huge con to living on a 180 square mile island.

Of course, That guys got a really small wiener. Ask me how I know.

Part of me is really curious, the other part doesn't wanna ask for deets like a middle schooler

 

Probably mentioned here before but toyota here in Pasadena quoted me $3,500 to do a clutch on my 04....so $850 is a pretty damn good deal comparatively lol
