One of the biggest headaches I deal with at work is different people on different computers telling me that the images I'm sending them look "different than real life", no one here calibrates their computer monitors and everyone views everything under super warm tungsten lights. I calibrate based off neutral gray in camera and photoshop so I know the colors are true, but people only believe what they see in front of them on their monitors that haven't been calibrated in years.

 

don't even get me started on how we print photos in this company on laser jet printers using non-photo paper, that's another fun one to try and explain to people that don't care about facts

 

Yeah I imagine that's a real problem...and a daily one. There's no policy to do a base calibration on work owned devices?

 

Haha no, and half the company is on operating systems that are 5+ years old because they refuse to update and have to possibly relearn how to do something. I do not envy our IT department one bit
