My biggest concern would be a fail when using it. Can you imagine the wench get ripped off the bumper under load.

I should probably unwind all my rope and clean it up a bit before the winter time hits......

    So much effort

    No one said it wasn't.

I just described the only cast metal I've welded before and it was aluminum.

yeah it's not a particularly fun chore, but it's probably worth doing to check for frays too

Ferrous and aluminum are waaay different I wouldn't bring up aluminum when doing iron. It's just a lot easier

    :duh:

    No shit

My comment was simply stating that anything cast is going to be dirty, and not take well to heat.

For someone who's been welding a minimum of 5 years or so, I'd expect better welds. :burp:

Had a pair of the knockoff KC halogens on the 92. Just angled them down so they filled in the light right in front of the truck. Never had any issues with getting pulled over.

the first lights I had on my roof rack were the old school Hella halogens, they were laughably dim compared to others on the trail with LEDs and such. But for something supplemental they will probably be OK.

I dunno what CO's laws are for that kind of thing, here you have to keep off-road lights covered when on the street technically. Not sure about ones at headlight level though
