No, not going to leave it on (it's uncoated) but it looks good from +25' in my opinion

 

(I wanted to throw it on the beach this week but I'm still on street tires so I don't know how it would have gone..never attempted sand without at least A/T)

 

I suppose I have a couple good friends close by and a large group of good friends willing to travel as well... that definitely helps.

 

I really like how understated it is. Not screaming, "I have a bumper on!"
Are you doing swingouts or skipping that?

 

Single swingout for a 33" spare.

I may angle the swingout enough to clear a 35" which I currently have as a spare so...perfect test subject.

yeah I tried doing a dark dark blue sky and with the PS black and white filter and was immediately like nope, lol

yeah contrasty B/W photos bring out all the lovely characteristics of skin, metal...anything. Sometimes looks cool though, depends on what you're going for

B&W with high contrast... "the Ansel Adams" approach tends to bring out things like that. But I think it makes the bumper look cool and gritty.

Speaking of InDuStRiAl AeStHeTiCs, rust-owners had an aneurysm when they saw my uncoated bumper exposed to the elements

 

it's purposeful patina, another desirable aesthetic

 

But to protect it you gotta use some of the Sweet Patina Sauce on it....

I've seen people just clear em so all the workmanship showed. It was front bumper, but still...that'll get some people annoyed
