it was a way to avoid environmental fees.. damn WS transfluid is dark as hell within 30k.. thats why my avalon gets a drain and fill ever oil change every 10k miles.. lol

 

Really, I never noticed that I mine. Do you have the original orange dipstick?

 

hmm odd.. maybe they changed it when they went to the newer throttle... eitherway replace the fluid.. ignore what the stick says.

thats regular type-iv... soooo thats not lifetime fluid..

 

yea no.. change it lol. even the lifetime fluid i usually change it at 30k.

Usually mine gets changed automatically when I take out the rad by hitting a deer.

 

I'll have to check that. Orange handle as well but not sure about a decal. seems familiar though. I actually have a new filter, gasket and a tube of that RTV toyota gasket stuff (only because I wasn't sure if I wanted the RTV stuff or an actual gasket) I ordered from gunny like 6mo ago. Still haven't gotten around to do it.

 

Oh I definitely don't have that. Could have fell off I guess but I got my truck with 30K mi on it & was 3 yrs old.

 

you;d be fine with a drain and fill. its when the shits black that you should never touch it

 

the gaskets usually leak in my experiance.. the pans designed for the orange RTV, done right it shouldnt leak.

 

Don’t wanna see, I feel like it’s something young people get done.
