That guy had big ambitions. Then he found out how much steel cost. Love the cab vent. Gotta have air flow when racin. Bet that c-board is teal now.

It was passed gone for sure, should probably just do the ujoints and carrier bearing

But having no tools or space at school really puts a damper on that.

I have a 2004 Tacoma and I plan to 4wd swap. So basically I found 1997 Tacoma with manual hubs. I was planning to get the knuckles, hubs and diff off the 97. The problem… the truck is manual would the transfer case work on a 2004 4wd auto tranny? I plan finding one after. Since I’ve heard 03-04 trannys are different.

Yeah, the best mechanics can't shine with just a crescent wrench. Not having the tools or space makes the easiest shit a pain in the ass. I recently tried to do a battery swap with channel locks. It was embarrassing.

You can basically use everything from said truck except the transfer case and transmission though...if you're in that deep, just go manual on your truck.

If doing so, make sure your trucks engine and donors truck engine are the same.

By the way, there are many, many threads covering 4x4 swaps with any and all listed parts, compatibility, etc.

    Do a search.

Installed the first TRD lift on a turd gen tundra at work. $4000 kit. Oof. New axles, lower knuckle ball joint things, tie rods, shocks, front springs, rear spring spacer seat, brake lines, upper control arms..

Honestly kinda impressive until you see the price
But very nice geometry correction from this setup.

I've done 99% of my everything I've done to my trucks with stupid hand tools.

I went to my aunts, boyfriends tonight and he brought the power tools, was nice.

They’re beefier. Like noticeably thicker shaft. And they articulate better. At least on the rack

I mean...that's just odd that it's even a thing; should be the standard axles really.

Good for Toyota though to rip more money out of consumers hands.

The best part is if you damaged body panel it's cheap to replace.

Legally the dogs have to come off too.. so I’ve got some factory led fog lights I might fit in something. They’re just rectangle
Whole bumper took like 10 minutes to get off. So they’re not terrible to work on I guess
