Saw a mouse in the house. I declared war. TBH I think it was a crime of opportunity, it's not cold out yet and I had a gaping hole in the wall. No droppings anywhere, no sign there's ever been a mouse before, I literally just saw the fucker and saw how he left when he saw me.

Big ol glory hole behind the wall. Thankfully behind that its just insulation, concrete, and a vertical path to the crawlspace where I shall set traps.

    received_1261346014686913.jpg

Got some new england bodywork to patch the hole.

    The game is afoot

For how many droppings I've seen in our attic and storage shed, I'm surprised I've never seen a mouse anywhere.

Closest was when I was cleaning out the storage shed a year after we moved in, found an old rat trap with a half rotted carcass attached to it

I've never seen droppings in the house and never heard anything until today, I heard a noise. Walked over and there was Fivel. I'm just gonna set some traps and see if I catch anything. I keep a pretty clean house but clearly from my photo I could stand to clean the baseboard under the cabinets

Anyone ever have that feeling like 2-3 years have gone by when in reality it was only 1?

Enrolling in school, and in filling out my FAFSA I had an 'oh shit' moment when I had to look up my tax return and enter my adjusted gross income. I had only worked a few months at the fab shop only to do a double take and realize I was still working at the dealership.

Could've sworn it was 2 years ago that I had quit, not just last year.

Yeah dude you've had quite the year this year haha. Makes sense it would feel like it was longer than just one, I feel that way too when a lot has been fit into a relatively short amount of time

Feels really strange coming home to an empty house. Got it all weekend while my wife and daughter are up north. Barely been 5 minutes and I'm lonely AF :(

Damn that would be awesome haha. If I lived closer I'd be there for sure any other time we are both free. One of these days though we'll have to plan a time to make that work, maybe after the holidays we can make another trip up to see you guys for a few days.

Realistically it's more like 2.5 months worth, plus she's starting to potty train but really only when she has to drop a deuce.

I much preferred cleaning that up when it was in a diaper vs a toddler chamber pot....

Have you considered lining the chamber pot so it's not just turd on plastic action?

That's only half the battle though, the other half is trying to corral a 2 and a half year old running wild with mudbutt afterward to wipe her clean

It helped, but it's still a bit crooked. Not as bad as before though!

Removed the guide, here's what sits behind it -

Matched that and hit it with a punch in preparation for drill and tap -

The set screws I'll be using -

    Low profile for sure -

Nice and strong considering how thick this portion is -

I don't like that the blade itself was pushed out quite a bit, but it's definitely more square than it was before.

I'll fuck with it more another day.
